Auckland Floods - oil equipment clean up tips

The Auckland Floods in late January 2023 have meant that lots of the workshops that ARGB service have needed to deal with oil waste in the clean up. Insurance covers most of the cost of it, but while you're waiting for the flood to subside ARGB can help by inspecting the damage, quoting for oil equipment replacement and providing you a quote for your insurance company. That way, when you're ready to have it replaced we can book you in and get you back working again much faster.

There are several things to check around your oil and lube equipment set up before you get back to work:

Oil tanks - check they have not been upended or leaked

Oil dispensing guns - check that oil guns have not been submerged. If so, they my need to be reconditioned or have the oil gun replaced to prevent water getting into the oil you're dispensing.

Waste Oil drainers - check they have not been submerged, upended or leaked into the groundwater

Oil Pump - check they have not been submerged and no water has entered into the mechanism.

If in doubt, ARGB can provide a quote for oil equipment replacement. Just give us a call to arrange a time.
